I am Alex, founder of ARC Leather. Firstly, thank you for visiting the website and I hope you find something you love. I'd love to hear from you with any comments, feedback or commissions if you're after something more unique!

ARC Leather started as a hobby and still to a point is! I have a full time '9-5' in the city which isn't exactly condusive to expressing my creative side. I've always enjoyed making things, whether it was Lego as a child, sandcastles or woodwork at school and sadly the compact living situation in London is not favourable to keeping these hobbies alive.

I am continiously asked at shows how I got into this. Put simply, I purchased a keychain as a present for my Grandma, my family expressed an interest in having similar ones which is where the spark "I'm sure I can make these" came up. After buying a few books (old school I know), I set about learning the craft and found myself absorbed into the leathercraft industry. Roll on a few months I ran out of family members and friends to gift these creations too and realised that to keep this hobby alive, I might be best placed to start a business... ARC Leather.

Now I get to share this new found hobby with everyone and get to enjoy peoples reactions when they see the products, realise its a passion project and hear how they will use the products. I am hoping to branch out into some non-leather products soon, however I want everything to fit into the motto "timeless design, celebrating natural materials". All too often everyone can find themselves reaching for the convenient, the mass produced, and although that is fine on occassion. Ultimately we have so many natural materials which are not only beautiful but also incredibly durable.
